AT CARCERI WOODSHOP, WE CREATE UNIQUE PIECES TO HELP YOU BEAUTIFY YOUR HOME OR SANCTUARY WITH CONTEMPLATIVE FURNISHINGS.
After launching a global software business, John felt called to get out of the office and work with his hands. He sought to simplify life by embracing the solitude of the shop. As he spent more time there, he found the woodshop to be a place of peace and quiet contemplation. Time in the shop became a place of prayer and work, or as the monastics call it, "Ora et Labora." These discoveries brought John to make his hobby a living, seeking the good and beautiful by creating products that add beauty to your domestic church and support Catholic life. John prays for those who will receive his works as he creates them. John is supported by his wife Rebecca, who designs and completes the custom engraving, and their five children. As a small Catholic family business, your purchase supports our own little domestic church.
Pronounced like Karchery (rhymes with "Archery"), the Italian word means a place of solitude. Carceri has become the nickname for John's woodshop, inspired by the name St. Francis gave his monastery in the woods above Assisi where he would escape the world to seek solitude and union with God in prayer.
